Seriously. Didn't you know shoveling manure out of the stalls if one of the most stress relieving, peaceful things to do after a long a$$ day! I am not joking. Throw in a glass of wine and holla - PEACE at its finest!
And, for the ever resourceful -- a summer muck boot! Here's the thing. Muck Boots rock. I can wear them w/o socks in the winter and my feet stay warm. But, in the summer, when it is 90* out, it gets a tad warm. So to help keep cool, I simply roll down the boot ;) Kinda like a built in air conditioner. Because, when I would just wear flip flops to clean the stalls (no shame here), my husband said that was gross. *Sigh -- pu-lease!* But, secretly, sometimes I still do just wear flip flops! C'mon, it is so dang hot!
*Disclaimer -- Photos have been altered to not blind you in showing the true color of my ghostly white skin ;)

I think you and I shop at the same store! Love the boots. :)
A Friday blog post featuring shovel-loads of manure - a superlative Friday blog post if ever there were.
thanks!
Folding laundry is my stress reliever.
Yep, manure is definitely a big part of farm life. And I don't see a thing wrong with flip flops. I live in those things, no matter what I'm doing. LOL
LOL...a subject that always seems to come up in ranch/farm conversations!
Have a great weekend~
You said it little friend ~ slinging @#$% manure is the best stress buster, especially if another friend is up there with you. The white skin got me though ~ horse folks generally stay in jeans - and we are hurting very bad for some color on those legs! HA HA. Funny. Debi
You know here is Aus, we invented flip-flops!! We call them thongs! I think everyone else thinks thongs are something different!! Love those boots, I want some...
Lol. I hear ya on the stall mucking AND the boots (I wear the Bogs version, and love them!) As for the manure, back when I had horses, a bunch of us would have stall cleaning parties on Friday or Saturday nights. We'd crank up the music and clean out the barn once a week, and then take all the manure out to the olive orchards to spread it (dodging skunks and raccoons as we careened down the rows on the quads in the middle of the night). Ahh... I miss mucking out the barn...
