Our Quince are coming along. This is a pic of them from earlier in the week.
They are the last fruit we harvest from the orchard every year. And boy do they smell wonderful, the whole orchard smells like sweet pineapple, when they are ready to harvest.

I don't think I have ever heard of these and I grew up in the country. Gorgeous photos though.
I've never eaten quince before. I have seen other bloggers write about them. I'm sure one of them could share a great recipe with you.
hey there. if you know anything about canning and making jam, you could make a thick one with your quince. it goes great with sharp cheeses like manchego (a sheep's milk cheese from spain) or even a nice old cheddar. :)

The Quince used to be very popular in the UK, but it went out of fashion, although I think it is coming back in again - you sometimes see it on the menu of the trendier restaurants. Have a look at Hazel Dene's post about them: http://hazel-dene.blogspot.com/2011/04/quangers.html
