Harvest Monday, June 27, 2011

Slim pickings this past week for Harvest! Hubby picked 2 Hungarian Wax peppers that weighed in at 1.55 ounces!

I also picked some herbs from the herb garden but I always forget to track those. Speaking of 'herbs', after all the rain we had again this past week, Purslane started showing up like mad - everywhere! More on that tomorrow.

Although our harvest was small this week, hubby's 'Discovery' sure makes up for it!!

Check out other gardners harvests' from the past week over at Daphne's Dandelions!

Great find on the rhubarb plant and those peppers will taste extra fine - because they came from your own garden. :D

I always forget to keep track of the herbs also. I normally only pick a sprig or two at a time when I need them and it really isn't worth weighing it, but I always wonder how much over the year I actually do use.

Small harvest, is better than none. I feel the pain. Dealing with the same type of thing.

My last garden didn't have much purslane in it at all, but now I'm finding more and more in this garden. I've yet to try eating it, but I may have to if I get even more.

I'm looking to more on purslane, because I have no idea what it is. Thanks for posting your harvest. Something is always better than nothing!

Are those hot or sweet peppers and what is purslane? I've just about had it with squash and zucchini. I've never seen so many in my life. I'm getting peppers and green beans now and tomato vines are full. Love to hear about your harvest. Debi

Harvest Monday sounds fun! I might have to get in on it eventually. I did just do a harvest post last week, but it wasn't on a Monday. You have a great garden with a lot of variety!
