Welcome to the Family Farm

Oh gesh - as if I need more chaos! [Mom, stop reading now!]

Allen insisted we adopt our current foster cat, Maggie. And, honestly, Maggie is a sweetheart that doesn't cause much chaos as long as she cannot get to the fish bowl!

However, Maggie + Mossy (and Whinny when she is feeling brave) = CHAOS! They are getting better, but Mossy still doesn't seem to grasp that a nice SWAT on the face means leave me alone. I guess he'll have to be blinded in one eye before he gets it.

Of all the foster cats we've had thus far, and at last count, we've fostered around 20[!], there were definitely my fair share of those hard to say goodbye to when it came time for them to go to their forever homes. My niece Valaree cried when I told her Silver Belle wasn't at my house anymore!
But Maggie, who'd I'd least expect Allen would be begging to stay, captured our hearts in a different way. She is an old soul. She is vocal and has a lot to say when she feels like it! She is very uncomfortable in busy settings or in the prescence of other cats. [Although she doesn't mind staring at Savannah through the patio door!] She'll get herself upset and worked up and make panther growling noises - no joke! I was kinda terrified to approach her when she was still at Kitten Krazy in her cage :/

She came home with me, for what was supposed to just be the weekend, to get her out of the 'shelter' environment so she could just relax.....that was in January! When Kitten Krazy said they had had an opening for her to go up to PetSmart, Allen said there was no way; He didn't want her going there. We all knew she'd get upset, and I quietly agreed. I knew she wasn't leaving! I just had to convince myself!!

We offically made her a part of our family on Monday evening and this is how she decided to thank her daddy! She sure looks relaxed to me!
Welcome to Apolloson Acres Maggie! ....or as I have been calling her, Magdalyn!

Awwww, that is so sweet. I gave up foster homing cats after I adopted a litter of three lol. I can't let them leave once I have them. I'm a sucker I suppose :)

Tell me about it; that is why we don't foster dogs -- none of them would ever leave!!
